Writing scores need to improve at our school. Accomplishing this endeavor has necessitated writing to be performed in most classes.

• Develop organized, well-reasoned, supported, and focused communications.
• Write to explain, summarize, inform, and persuade, including business, professional, technical, and personal communications.
• Use appropriate conventions to write clearly and coherently, including correct use of grammar, punctuation, capitalization, spelling, sentence construction, and formatting.
We will be utilizing the format explained in the book Blowing Away the State Writing Assessment Test by Jane Bell Keister.
There are four steps explained in the book which we will be utilizing.
- Write with strong vivid-verb paragraphs.
- How to score the state writing assessment test
- Plan and write excellent essays and or narratives with required elements
- Write with voice, great vocabulary, passion, flair, pizzazz, and from another’s point of view.

Explain why the table saw should be included in a shop.
The table saw is a good piece of equipment.

Cutting with the table saw allows me to perform many operations, ripping crosscutting, taper cutting, etc. Any shop will be enhanced by the addition of this piece of equipment.
Where do we find the instructions for the resume assignment?
I had handouts in class. I can get Shawn copies tomorrow. The assignment is to type a real resume which the students can electronically save and adjust as they acquire more skills and experience.
